Smooth Sailing

A game made during Global Game Jam 2021. Still in active development.

Players sail the high seas in a quest to collect 1,000,000 doubloons worth of treasure to buy their way out of the cursed waters of purgatory. Sail and explore a randomly generated area whilst encountering and navigating perilous events. Find and pick up crewmates to gain certain buffs and extra actions when encountering events. Dying results in the waters shifting and the map changing. Players can find shipwrecks from old runs and can recover some lost treasure, and a single crewmate.
